Zlatan was born in Vlasenica, Bosnia and Hercegovina and later moved to the United States. He possesses the USSF C Coaching License, United Soccer Coaches- Premier Diplomas, and a Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Coaching and Athletic Administration.

Zlatan, whose nickname is Z, still plays soccer in a San Francisco adult league. His favorite team is Arsenal, and Zidane is his favorite player. Zlatan loves to play chess and is always looking to play a game.
