Scott grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California and played club soccer for Winnetka United. Scott played collegiate soccer at Cal State Northridge and played professional soccer for the following teams: the Hollywood/California Kickers, the LA Lazers, and Real Santa Barbara.
Scott’s favorite soccer memories involve winning Manchester United Cup and Gothia Cup twice as a coach (in 2006 and 2009); he is, in fact, the only head coach to accomplish this feat.
Scott has a wealth of coaching experience, and prior to coaching at MVLA he was a coach (as well as a director) throughout Southern California for many youth soccer clubs as well as at the collegiate level, including serving as an Assistant Coach at Cal State Northridge for the men’s program and as an Assistant Coach at Cal Lutheran for the women’s program.
Scott’s favorite part of coaching is working with his players and says that MVLA’s Technical Director Albertin Montoya inspires him as the hardest working man in the game. Scott has a US Soccer A License.
Scott’s favorite team is Manchester United, and Paul Scholes is Scott’s favorite player. Scott has a degree in graphic design, and he has a dog named Gracie.
