Margueritte Aozosa
Margueritte grew up in Mountain View and played club soccer for MVLA! Margueritte says she was lucky enough to play for Albertin Montoya (our Technical Director) for her entire club career. Margueritte says Albertin is 100 percent the reason she fell in love with soccer and started coaching. She feels so honored to get to coach by his side now each and every day.
Margueritte played on the U.S. youth national team, she played collegiate soccer at Santa Clara University and still occasionally plays soccer in an adult league. In addition to coaching at MVLA Margueritte is also the Assistant Coach for the Stanford women’s soccer team.
In terms of a favorite soccer memory, Margueritte believes there is nothing better than winning a big tackle on the field or enjoying a big win with teammates, and now, with staff. She feels the best part of coaching is watching players fully immerse themselves in the game and their development. Margueritte has the USSF A License and was named as one of the United Soccer Coaches “30 Under 30” for the Class of 2018.
Margueritte enjoys watching Lyon on the women’s side. Her favorite players are Rose Lavelle and of course Catarina Macario! In terms of a nickname, most people call her Marg because Margueritte is a little long on the field. When not coaching Margueritte loves to just spend time with her friends, family, and her two dogs, Rooney and Champ.
